Light House

Light House is a place where children are taught to know and understand the presence of God. The name means a place with a firm foundation in the Word of God where growth is evident. It speaks of being a bright light in the darkness. Being open and standing out in our Faith and attracting those around us to participate and experience the love of Jesus.

Our Vision

Our vision comes from Psalm 144 v 12:

I am Wendy Hare and I was born in South Africa. I was always involved with kids and ministry and in the year 2000 I was Principal at Trumpet Sound Christian Academy for 4 years before we immigrated to New Zealand. I have now been teaching for close to 30 years and still love this profession. In fact it is more than my profession it is my calling and a burning passion!

That our sons may be as plants grown up in their youth

That our daughters may be as pillars sculptured in palace style.

With the end in mind our vision is for our boys to be mature in their youth, concerning the will, plan and purpose of God in their lives. Our boys will be bold and will walk in confidence knowing who they are in Jesus.

Our girls will walk in strength and beauty like an outstanding pillar in a palace. They will be witnesses for God and will practice their faith while they support others. They will grow up and will listen to the voice of God and walk boldly in faith without fear and with confidence.

A soup kitchen planned for all the wonderful people in the White House Community Church, who faithfully volunteer and serve our children and the community. Thank you for your hearts of gold.

Fathers' Day 2022
Decorating muffins for our Dads was a really special way to say "Thank you".
A huge thanks to Susan Joyce and Wendy who made the muffins to decorate. Everyone did so well.
The youth were so amazing. Thanks to Maria, Tatum, Fatiya and Diego. You rock!!! Collectively we all pulled off this venture.
Finally our beautiful kids. You came up with perfect designs for your Dads.

Marlee and Hope had a turn at recycling our bottles and cans. We are fund-raising for families in need. We love the idea of earning money while we clean our environment.

Working for a cause
The Light House is spreading the love by collecting bottles and cans in order to bless our families and build Faith in our communities.
We are using what we have to make a difference in our world. Lord allow us to colour our world with love in this grey world.

Today 3 kids (Alvina, Oliver and Chinidum) who came out of the blessed draw came along with me to the depot. We collected 350 cans and bottles today. Afterwards, we all got to know each other while we ate together, played together, and just hung out with each other. Praise God . . .

How exciting!!! Receiving gifts light up a child's face. This year we captured our children's expressions when they received a gift with their names on. A huge thank you to everyone in our church who donated a gift for a child.

Tall people stood in the way of Zacheus. He made a plan. He wanted to see Jesus so He climbed into a tree. Jesus saw Zacheus and told Him that He would come to His House. The people were very angry!! They thought Zacheus was a bad person and a sinner who did not deserve a visit from Jesus. His heart was filled with Gods love on that day.

Power in the Light House

I am so proud of these ones. God is using them all in a mighty way. Today we celebrated Joyce's birthday she turned 10 years old. Growing stronger in their purpose.

Children's Fathers' Day Tribute 2019

Happy Father's Day to all our Dads. Our Father in Heaven remains the same. He is always present and He will never leave us. Today at the White House we celebrated all fathers young and old. Praise God for Dads.

Easter Egg Hunt 2019

Today we had to find token instead of melted Easter eggs. Adam found the most. Over 10 tokens, and got to choose an Easter Egg. Divine won 2nd price for the girls. All in all an exciting morning. A huge thank you to our church family for contributing Easter eggs.

Easter Sunday

Thanks to the dedication of our teachers who give every week to be able to teach our children the truth and the Bible says the truth will set us free. We are going to depict that death has no power after Jesus rose from the dead.

Our little ones are blessed to have teacher Tracey around. She is a star teacher. Thank you for all you do!!! God's richest Blessings.

Our birthday prayers went out to Fatiya who's birthday was yesterday and Jesse who turned 8. May God Bless them abundantly.

Yesterday our 2 to 5 year olds completed their teaching on Pentecost and made the tongues of flames headband to remember what happened on Pentecost many years ago.
